I have ARRIVED!

After a long flight and lots of struggling with my heavy luggage on the bus and the subway, I've finally arrived safely at the Kansai University dorm. It's really nice here. Really hot as well.

I've got my full address now:

For now, everything here seems pretty cheap, especially the food. I ate the most delicious ramen yesterday for less than 4 euros and you get free water with your meal pretty much everywhere. There's also a 100yen store nearby with all sorts of super cheap things.

I ordered a drink I'd never heard of at the restaurant yesterday and ended up with some kind of vodka lemon, which was... unexpected. It's called 酎ハイ (chuuhai).

Had rice for breakfast today. That was an experience. There's actually a pretty big bakery section at the local grocery store so I'll probably go for that in the future.

Went to the local governement office for paperwork today and then ate more delicious food with a bunch of the dorm people. Everyone here seems really nice.

I promise I won't keep posting pictures of every meal I ever eat, but for now, I'm taking pictures of everything like a true tourist, don't judge me!












In conclusion: everything is good. ^^ I kind of don't even realise what I'm doing yet, don't think I comprehend the fact that I'll be here for a whole year. For now everything just feels like a fun vacation really. I might have just jinxed myself though so we'll see how it goes once school has started!
